While coffee is definitely a great beverage, especially for those early school mornings, sometimes I don’t want the caffeine. Hot beverages are definitely not on my drink list here in Florida during August and September, when the temperature is in the 90s before noon. Cold Caramel Apple Cider Punch is the perfect drink to sip any day, throughout the day.
Caramel Apple Cider Punch:
I love apple cider and am anxiously awaiting Fall and cooler weather to enjoy it as much as I can while living in Florida. We don’t get many cool Fall days, so hot apple cider usually only happens in January/February. Until then, cold apple cider drinks are my friend. Some of my favorites are Homemade Apple Cider Floats and Spiced Apple Cider Sangria.
Here is a great recipe for homemade apple cider. I love using ginger ale to add bubbles to punches – it has a great flavor and doesn’t add an unnecessary lemon-lime flavor. Torani Apple and Caramel Syrups were also added for an extra apple and caramel flavor. Feel free to play around with the amounts on the syrup to taste.
I love using fun ingredients to garnish drinks, and grabbed some extra long cinnamon sticks, apple slices and orange slices as my garnish. The pop of color is perfect and makes it extra special. The glassware also makes a difference. Dressing up a normal beverage in a pretty glass always enhances the drink.
Tools, Tips & Tricks:
- I used my favorite large measuring cup to combine all the liquid. I love these glass ones and have multiple sizes
- Even if it’s just me, I love drinking out of a nice glass. The Lacey Tumbler is one of my favorites.
