Saint Patrick’s Day Mint Chocolate Chip Milkshake is a delicious treat perfect for any green celebration. A fun shamrock sprinkle mix decorates the chocolate-coated glass. Sprinkle some extra on top of the freshly whipped cream for a milkshake fit for a leprechaun!

Milkshakes are one of my favorite frozen treats, and these Mint Chocolate Chip Milkshakes get an extra dose of holiday cheer with a festive sprinkle mix. Mint Chocolate Chip Milkshakes are the an easy treat to make for Saint Patrick’s Day. They are family-friendly, because green beer and Irish Cream Liqueur are definitely not for the kiddos. Mint Chocolate Chip Milkshakes will make them feel like they are part of the celebration too.
I used dark chocolate coating wafers for dipping the glasses. They are in the baking section of local craft stores. Some bulk food stores carry them as well. Feel free to use milk chocolate or white chocolate, but I personally think the dark chocolate makes the sprinkles stand out more.
Speaking of sprinkles, I love fun sprinkle mixes and they totally make the dessert. I love the different shades of greens, touches of white, and colored pearl sprinkles in this one that Sweets & Treats gave me. Sprinkles definitely take this milkshake over the top.
Mason jars are in most grocery stores, Target and online. Dark chocolate coating wafers and the Wilton 1M piping tip and piping bags can be found in craft stores. I received my sprinkle mix from Sweets & Treats online store, as well as some green straws. Paper straws are common in most craft stores, although a better selection is usually available online.
I found those cute little cauldrons in the dollar section of my Target after Halloween. These cauldrons are so cute and great for both Saint Patrick’s Day and Halloween! I filled them with little gold coin sprinkle quins, but they can also be filled with chocolate gold coins for a festive touch.

I love nostalgic treats, especially if they have to do with ice cream. Malts, milkshakes and floats are some of my favorite frozen indulgences. This Root Beer Float Ice Cream is the best of both worlds, combining a root beer float with delicious homemade ice cream. Don’t forget the whipped cream, hot fudge and cherry on top!
The local burger joint was always a favorite restaurant spot to visit growing up. My family would meet up with my best friend’s family on the weekends, grab burgers, fries & root beer floats, and share a meal. My favorite treat was the root beer float. Every few weeks the restaurant hosted a classic car show and we would wander through the parking lot looking at the pristine cars, sipping on floats.
I grew up with a love of root beer – from my dad – and birch beer – from my grandmother. Because of this love, I knew I wanted to craft the perfect ice cream. I couldn’t just freeze root beer because it would get too many ice crystals. Boiling it down also reduced the flavor. The best option is a root beer concentrate or candy flavoring. The tiny bottle packed a huge root beer punch and was the best choice for the ice cream.
A secret ingredient gives this ice cream a delicious and creamy taste, like an actual root beer float. We don’t have much Fall weather yet, so we are still enjoying this ice cream quite a bit.
A trick I use to get all the fun decorations to stick is to use store-bought frosting. I colored mine green to match the milkshake and the sprinkles. You can totally customize it, which is the beauty of these monster milkshakes.
You can either used freshly whipped cream or whipped topping for the milkshakes. Don’t forget extra sprinkles on the top too!

School started last week, and the Summer days are still very hot. I love having a cold treat ready for the little one when she finishes for the day, and these Chocolate Chia and Greens Pudding Pops hit the spot. My love of chia is evident in some of the recipes I create, like Overnight Strawberry Chia Superfruit Pudding and Carrot Cake Overnight Chia Oatmeal.

This recipe can be made with either, so whatever you have on hand is fine. I would definitely recommend warming up some leftover cobbler and topping it with No-Churn Blueberry Cobbler Ice Cream! There is nothing better than warm cobbler with cold ice cream! Hope you enjoy this easy to make treat!

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. As a kid, my parents always hosted a big pool party. We had a barbecue with plenty of delicious sides and desserts. As soon as it started to get dark, my parents would set up a large folding table outside while the kids played with sparklers and poppers.
Firecrackers and fountain fireworks were usually the first in our large line-up. Mom, in preparation of July 4th, would also grow aloe plants – just in case someone had a little accident that could easily be fixed with aloe.
My family loved fireworks and we usually had a huge display that took at least an hour to set off. Everyone on our cul-de-sac would set up lawn chairs either in their driveways, or come down into our driveway.
They put on a spectacular show. All the dad would help set up the fireworks and yell, “fire in the hole” while running away. We sat in awe of the bright beautiful colors, naming which was our favorite.
These smoothie pops would have definitely been a great addition to our celebrations. I even ate one for breakfast, because it’s really just a frozen smoothie. It can be enjoyed in the morning, as an afternoon snack, or perfect to cool down while watching fireworks.
Strawberry, coconut, and blueberry each blend with milk and yogurt for a delicious, frozen, summertime treat. I love these Popsicle molds and use them year-round for all my frozen treats. They’re fun to make and a great way to get kids involved. I love being able to give my Little One both dairy and fruit in a fun treat. I sometimes even sneak in a serving of veggies in my pops too! I hope you have a safe and fun 4th of July!
